I have sat at my desk for the past 45 minutes trying to create a relevant blog post. I am worried whatever topic I choose will be boring or irrelevant or boringly irrelevant? And, I just used an L-Y adverb! I cannot tell you how many seminars, workshops, and writing classes I have taken that scold endlessly (couldn't resist!) to never, ever use L-Y adverbs. Yeah, it's a thing and I usually (*wink *wink) fail at leaving them out.
My brain is trying to block me at every turn.
Why?
There is a part of me that knows this is where I will process some stuff. And not the fun stuff, the stuff of growth.
Hard-earned, heart-wrenching growth.
So, this is where I landed.
All great endeavors, whether they are external or internal in nature, start small before gaining momentum.
Let's start small today.
We don't have to heal every childhood trauma or soul-shattering wound right now. Instead let's aim to carve out a minute or two to just breathe with what hurts.
Healing does not all have to be done in one day.
I repeat, healing does not all have to be done in one day.
We can only begin where we are.
May the steps, though small, sustain us.
May they hold us steady through the darkness until the light of forgiveness reaches us.
May this forgiveness encompass ourselves and others.
May this be enough for this moment in time.
Be gentle with yourself on the journey.
Inward & Onward,
Diana,
