In times of uncertainty I rely on the little things to get me through like:
Making my bed and giving thanks for the puppy who thinks he owns it (he does).
Twinning with Keaton post-regionals capping off his senior XC season (also, the way he patiently tolerates my exuberance at twinning which only makes me want to dress like him every day of my life!)
Goofing around with good friends:
Relief that in the ‘golden years’ of life it’s possible to become better looking with each birthday:
We all want similar things; to feel safe, to be loved, to be fully known.
For each of us a singular even can be held in a thousand different ways. Sometimes that means we win and sometimes that means we lose. To be graceful in both is to remember nothing lasts forever, not victory or defeat.
May the little things sustain our hearts and remind us to always choose love in thought and deed.
May these little things help us hold on to the good in one another until that is all that remains.
Inward & Onward,
I love this because it requires us to be present right here and right now and actually that is living our life consciously.
Perfect, Diana! Giving or receiving little-sparks-of-love is a conscious decision. Your post inspired me to look for ways over the next few days to be grateful for those “sparks” and look for ways to give it. In light of recent events, civility, kindness and empathy can go a long way. Thank you again for your inspiring posts. Scotty
