This time of year is one where we feel pressure to improve, set goals, and resolve to change ourselves.
I want more for us.
Here are five ways to extend more love to ourselves as-we-are and to acknowledge we are doing our best this day and always.
Take time to do something that you enjoy every day. Whether it's taking a walk, reading a book, listening to music, or writing in a journal, make sure to carve out time for yourself each day to ensure you're taking care of your mental health.
Speak kindly to yourself. Pay attention to the way you talk to yourself and try to be encouraging. When you make a mistake, instead of beating yourself up, look at it as an opportunity to learn and grow.
Spend time with people who make you feel good. Surround yourself with people who build you up and make you feel supported.
Create a self-care routine. Set aside specific days or times of the week to focus on activities that help you relax and recharge.
Celebrate your successes. Recognize your accomplishments and give yourself credit for all the hard work and effort you put in. Appreciate yourself for all the amazing things you do!
It's okay if you want to set some goals for the year ahead, but please make sure to be supportive and kind to yourself throughout the process.
New Year, stay YOU.

Celebrating successes along the way, it’s so valuable. Do you make resolutions? I don’t anymore but do believe in the power of goal-setting when it feels right.
